HISTORY OF URSULA THE ARTIST:

Ursula has been painting in Oils for more than 30 years, using the palette knife technique. Her favourite subject is nature, such as wildflower meadows, rocky lakeshores, snowy winter trails, beaver ponds & autumn landscapes. Ursula lived & painted in Kingston from 1976 to 1992, when she moved to the beautiful Land O'Lakes area of Eastern Ontario, to CLOYNE, where her home/studio is located. She finds endless inspiration for paintings in the immediate surroundings, including the famous Bon Echo Rock in Bon Echo Provincial Park.

Abstracts have a special place in Ursula's painting career. These paintings are expressions of feelings in soft, flowing lines in vivid colours.

Ursula shows her work mostly at Juried Art Exhibitions, in Group Shows, or at her Studio, of course. Her paintings have been placed throughout the world in corporate offices & private homes. When you ask the artist about her work, she will tell you that she "lives in her paintings". Her innate love for the natural surroundings in which she lives is expressed directly & beautifully in bold palette knife strokes in some cases, & in soft, misty renderings in others.

To own an Original Ursula Oil Painting will be a lasting, joyful experience.
